EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn up 3 cents, May soybeans are up a
penny, and May KC wheat is up 4 cents.
CME GLOBEX RECAP: The rally in world equity prices continues. After a strong
session in the U.S. Wednesday, we are higher again Thursday morning as banking
worries fade into the distance. World markets are also higher following the
lead of the U.S. Energy prices are also firming, and while recession remains a
concern, supply/demand fundamentals in energy look strong if the Chinese
economy continues to rebound.
OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial
Average up 323.35 at 32,717.60 and the S&P 500 Index up 56.54 at 4,027.81. The
10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.57%. Early Thursday, June Dow Jones futures
are up 163 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the
London FTSE 100 trading up 0.94%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up
1.16% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.12%. Asian markets
are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.36% and China's Shanghai
Composite Index up 0.07%.
